30 for 30 Challenge!

So my friend AM introduced me to Kendi Everyday, which is a super cute blog that I really enjoy reading because 1) her clothes are accessible (think J.Crew, Gap, Target), and 2) she just seems like a super sweet person!

Anyway, starting 2/1 i'm joining the 30 for 30 remix challenge! 30 pieces of clothing (including shoes!!) remixed into 30 different outfits. I'm a little nervous since I'll just be returning from New York, but that also means I'll have new clothing I can add to the mix :-)  I've been super sick of my closet lately so maybe it'll punch some fun back into it.

I'll try to post updates on my remix status as I go... here's to a great Feb!

Refinery 29! 

I've been reading their site for little fashion snippets for awhile now, but they now have a section of their site 100% devoted to our lovely city of Chicago!!

So far - top bars for cold nights, and top 10 best dressed at their launch. 

My personal favs from their top 10:

The first one is def a lot harder for everyone to pull off - but I love the mix of the more bulky coat with the leggings, and who doesn't need a burst of color in this weather??

The second look feels a lot more realistic and something I'll also be trying. My big takeaway - need to learn how to tie a scarf in a super cool way. Also need to buy in fun colors/prints.
